A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUPERINTENDENT

As Superintendent, you are a vital part of our field operations team, driving projects from kickoff to completion with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. You oversee daily field activities, lead your team, and ensure work is executed on schedule, within budget, and to our standards. With a comprehensive understanding of plans and specifications, you manage work plans, assign responsibilities, mitigate risks, and maintain open communication between the field staff and project manager.

You protect LLC's interests, review project documentation, and ensure alignment with LLC methods. Your problem-solving skills and commitment to safety set the tone for your team and our company culture. Collaborating with project managers, you optimize budgets and resources while delivering top-quality results. Every day, you take pride in leading a dedicated team in a collaborative and efficient environment that values excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LLC SUPERINTENDENT

• A High School diploma plus 10 years of experience in heavy construction in the civil construction industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of terminology, materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of highways and roads, sitework/utility, and other heavy civil construction projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and contracts.
• Experience working in a self-perform, multi-trade project environment.
• Understanding of construction layouts, how to operate GPS survey equipment, and basic knowledge of GPS machine control.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate work.
• Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license and OSHA 10/30 certification are required.

WORK SCHEDULE

During the construction season, the construction division is normally at the job-site by 6:30 am and finished by 5:30 pm (based on projects assigned and time of year - peak periods are spring and fall).
